After locking my new Superb Combi 2.0tsi I have a message appear - check deadlocks - refer to owners manual

does anyone know how to remove this message?

Have a search on the forum as I'm sure this has been discussed before.

Cheers

Can't be removed. You soon learn to ignore it.

Did you refer to the manual?

Sounds like a fault which should be covered under warranty?

This is a std message that is appearing on more and more newer Skoda's.

Basically it's a visual warning to let you know that when you lock the car normally (one press of the remote lock button) the deadlocks will be activated on the car, so anybody inside the car cannot open a door in an emergency by simply pulling on the door handle.

There is also no way it can be turned off (yet- who knows maybe Ross-Tech will give us the option in a future software release??)
