Lowering

Featured Replies

Im abit torn at the moment with lowering my octavia.

if i go for a full suspension kit or just springs?

i only want to lower it by about 30ml but im not sure what kit to go for.

ive had eibach springs on a astra i used to have and they were brilliant but what they like on the octavias? am i putting the shocks under to much strain?

or am i best going for a full kit so i have best of both worlds new shocks and spring but cost alot more?

helppppppp.

I was in the same and then I made my decision today...

I was leaving a multi storey and badly scraped on the way out, so if I struggle there then I am miffed of these dorset roads!

Mine catches everywere cant even go for petrol without catching my front bumper and its standard.

but still want to lower it its to soft for me.

dont think eibach make a kit for the vrs, they will fit, but arent weighted correctly iirc

if you just fit springs, you will have a cak ride, as they wont be matched to your worn shocks.

Depends what you want i guess, if you want the car to handle properly fit matched springs and shocks or coilovers

cheap coils...job done

Lol at catching bumpers standard im allmost 95mm down on my coilies haha mind the roads by me are pretty good cam even get in and round the local multi storys no problems :D

Drives like **** but looks good

Cover cracked paint on the front with an i<3speedbumps sticker and all the 17 year olds in corsas love it!!

30mm isnt a huge drop id say normally standard dampers would cope at that tbh

And eibach are allright but the sportline stuffs not great

Eibach pro are very good put some on mates mark 5 golf and transormed it

jus drive at things 45degrees and its fineeeeeeee B)
