Is there a thread on fitting boost gauges to a fabia vrs anywhere?. . .

Also can you use any boost gauge. . it doesnt have to be different for a diesel?

since you wern't swamped with replys here goes----it doesn't have to be different for diesel but may well need to read more pressure up to 30psi should be fine, you could also get one that measures vac as well,-- if plumbed in downstream of the asv will also keep an eye on it working(when you switch off) also by swapping the pipe under the bonnet it can be used if needed to watch the control vac at various points someone must have done a how to---mines tapped into the egr valve

Did ya have to modify the egr valve to make it work from there. . or can you tap straight into it?

on the opposite side to the asv capsule mount there are two similar mounting holes spare(M5 I think)I drilled one out into the main duct approx 1mm or smaller and screwed in an elbow fitting
