Can the DSG electronics/coding be altered?

Featured Replies

Namely

(i) After 19,000 miles and 12 months ownership I still always but nearly always slip her into neutral when stopped.

Then when I go to move off my right foot instinctively covers/feathers the throttle ( but my left foot does not twitch for a clutch......strange?)

anyway I then have to "stab" at the brake pedal to allow Drive to be engaged.

So (i) can the DSG be configured to select Drive without my foot on the brake?

Even it it necessitates clicking in the detent button that is required to select Reverse or the Sport settings.

(ii) Can it be configured so as to allow me to remove the key from the ignition whilst in neutral? Because I do use the excellent proper hand/parking brake as provided

Cos that is another proper pain( for me leastwise), getting the blinking key out of the ignition.

I do a fair bit of urban short run stuff, a mile or two, then park & leave the car.

Hence I constantly appear to be fighting to remove the key.

(iii) Can the delay between Drive & Reverse be reduced so as to allow one to safely do 3 point turns without causing a heart attack?

Cheers

I do presume that dammn all can be done about the crappy performance when attempting a slow manouver on an incline, ie especially reverse parking uphill.

Other than those niggles the car is fine
