Hi All,

How hard is it to get pictures on this web site!!!! Hopefully the link will work to see my Estelle with less than 3000 miles on it.

Cheers

J

Hi all,

Put the link on too many times. Take a look and let me know what you think. Am looking at keeping her A1 and getting the minor blemishes sorted out. She will only make it out on sunny days and taken to shows. She now lives in York and anyone wanting a look send me a PM.

Cheers

Here you go, nice car CIMG2705.jpg

Lovely, that looks like the same colour my first ever car was, a 120L. Wish I'd held on to it now! :'(

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice :) I bet Daverapid is dribbling.

Is that the same one which used to belong to Benfield's ? ... Blimey what a nice motor you have there ... : :thumbup::thumbup:

Nice to see an Estelle not messed up by Kings Lynn ... Vinyl roof, sunroof, silly spoilers and badges etc etc ... Looks like an 88 model, how come it has small door pockets ?.Mine is an 88 120 L and has full door pockets ...

It could be an 87 model mate :)

Yes its an 87 model. It did belong to Benfield in Newcastle. There are a few blemishes, paint blisters that need sorting in the New Year.

Cheers

I hope you and Daverapid get to display your 2 minty Estelles side by side. Dave has a mint 120LSE Mk1 facelift, which I have actually had a good old butchers at, and there are photos of it at my local meet we had a couple of months back. It is in the East of England meets, Ipswich section.

God, that is amazing. I remember seeing it for sale and being sorely tempted. I'd to see it one day. Have you joined the owners club, I'm sure they'd be interested in hear more about this car.

Yes I've joined the club last week. Phil in Brighton has been giving me some advice on her upkeep. She has just turned 2,600 miles...flushing the collant next week ready for winter. Am trying to trace all her history...waiting to hear from DVLA and then writing to all past owners.

Glad u like her

:) dexter33...will you adopt me and add me to your will? I can offer you a great life insurance policy! :p

An impressive example, if untouched almost definitely the best un-restored example outside Skoda museum :)

Somehow I knew Daverapid would start drooling over it. Shiny shed is good, but nowhere near a patch on how this beast looks.

The paintwork is original apart from the FNS wing, which would appear to have been painetd. She does need some touch up at the base of windscreen where paint has blistered. I am researching best place and how to ensure its kept as original as poss...

Thanks for comments. She will be at shows next year local to Yorkshire area.

Now that I like :)

I learned to drive in one of those, it was painted in vw transport acrylic green paint (not far off mushy pea), had a vinyl roof, and amongst other toys it had a fettled 136 engine up its chuff.

It was a splendid motor indeed, and I miss it! I used to use it to compete on Production Car Trials, Sprints, and Road Rallies, with a good degree of success.

Still sticking with the Skoda heritage with my vRS though.
