Would a split diverter valve show up on a pressure test?

Took it to my local fella to look at advised him what I thought it might be and he done a pressure test and returned the car declaring they couldn't find anything wrong with it

Car makes constant hiss on boost and seems flat at top end

Not sure about the pressure test, but the symptoms you have described is screaming a split diaphragm to me. A revision 'D' divertor valve is only about 55 quid so well worth changing anyway.

Yeah saw that, sorry figured the octavia forum might get more views, I will get the valve changed but really wanted to know if it would show on a pressure test, Any ides where I can order the valve online for a decent price?

you do not need a forge one( awesome gti told me they had NEVER seen a d type one go, I asked about a forge ) , the d type (oem ,plunger) is all you need available from the dealers 42 pounds + vat
