Intercooler Pipe

Featured Replies

Good Afternoon,

I have been given my fabia a once over today and i noticed that the Top intercooler pipe and Valve? "not sure what it is" looks like an turbo acuator or EGR valve has large amounts of oil around that area. The oil is also inside the intercooler pipe work. When i had a good look under the car i noticed oil had been dripping on the drivers side driveshaft and the bottom intercooler pipe were it joins and can be seen with the engine cover inplace has oil around that to.

Any ideas, is this normal or should i worry and start replacing components.

The car has done 102k

Thanks Peeps

PCV oil vapor, normal, but elephant hose mod stops it, although it should all be cleaned out after doing the mod.

Whats this MOD and is it worth doing. Im mainly thinking if the oil is ok and nothing is going to go wrong ill leave it.

Mod sends PCV oil to catch can, and stops the oil mixing with soot from the EGR valve, which creates a nasty sticky mess. Over time the inlet manifold gets very clogged up.
