just got beaten

Featured Replies

by a leon, not totally killed but he was certainly faster. it was a cupra i think, not that R as that would have absolutely killed me. not sure really, hope it wasn't chipped as i would expect more from a chipped car, put it down to the fact that the leon is smaller, lighter and has less losses than my car. just looked and didn't realise the cupra's were 180 and not 150. wouldn't mind meeting him again in a few weeks

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you wont have transmission losses with haldex... his car would have been a few hundred kg lighter and 30bhp more power (if it was std)

He will if the Haldex engages. :thumbdwn:

was roundabout's involved and i do get more losses due to the prop being run constantly

and yes he leon is 250Kg lighter and 30bhp

bubble stil intact(not sure why i have a buble round me but apparantly its there  )

He will if the Haldex engages. :thumbdwn:
But he will also have grip which otherwise wouldn't be there. QED.

I had an interesting run-in with a local Leon Cupra R the other day, on our local "private road" he couldnt pass me :D Was quite impressed with my car.

Posted a "was it you" on www.seatcupra.net but got no reply - he's probably embarassed that he couldnt pass a Skoda...... let alone a Skoda Estate!
