The mongrel is getting the winter clean-up Saturday - Progress pics!

Featured Replies

I usually reserve a day for a full clay/machine/wax of the mongrel in readiness for winter. Usually do a lot more than just that, but the idea is to get her looking spot on so winter cleaning is nice and quick. Probably will need about 3 layers of Collinite for that I think.... I'll update with pics, but hoping to machine up the car well. The roof sure needs a good cutting back!

.........just remeber to strip of any old wax so you get the full benefit of the whole thing

Aye, hot wash and clay to start. I don't think any of the old wax is on there as I don't even remember the last time I waxed it :D

Well, it all started bright & early this morning. Already given it a hot wash (I don't think there was any wax left.... :D) and a thorough claying over. Was surprisingly not that contaminated so claying was quite easy without much clay folding needed as I went along. Finally another hot wash and towel'd down. :)

Looking OK already I think and the polisher is still in the shed. :D

Looking from the side at the bucket I was using.

main area of concern for work. Black roof (only done about 2 years ago or less) is not looking the best.

And yes.... Wheels are being saved for absolute last. :D

Roof is done as far as I can go. Finish is not perfect but I think this is perhaps down to the paint job rather than what I can achieve. This is before I apply any Collinite, so maybe it will improve with that on.

Really need to get mine done as it's absolutely pitted but our good weather only lasted a day and a half before it began ****ing down again
