Help needed! 4x4 rear suspension arm.

Featured Replies

Hi all,

took my octy into the garage earlier today to have a rear wheel bearing changed...they couldnt get the old one out as it was rusted in too badly, but in the process managed to crack the suspension arm in the press.

Tried the usual motor factors but none of them seem to do them. Cobtacted the main dealer and the arm is £360!!!11!

Just hoping that someone may ahve some idea if its possible to get one elsewhere, or if they have seen a hatchback 4x4 being broken anywhere.

Thnx in advance.

This may help. My link

OK new update, found a rear arm for £30, bargain.

Gonna be speaking to the garage and make sure they knock 'at least' £30 off the labour bill.

But they did lend me a TDi passat which has saved me a fortune on fuel this weekend :giggle: , but i'll keep quiet about that.
