Fabia Harness Adaptor

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I bought a Panasonic CQC1300 CD player, wanna fit into my Fabia Comfort. I notice some threads said that the red and yellow wires need to be swapped. The thing is I bought a Harness Adaptor anyway, but it doesn't seem any swapping between the red and yellow wires at all......!!!!!???

According to the Panasonic's installation manual, only Type A car need swapping red and yellow. So is Fabia Type A car, or it is ISO-Standard?

Thanks in advance

Louis

Second Question,

According to the installation manual, it said I have to "remove the cable from the battery negative terminal" before wiring.

Do I really need to do this? Since I don't have proper tool for this.

Thanks

You dont have a 10mm spanner or socket?

But anyhow no you dont really need to do it, its just a health and safety caution.

Have you tried the headunit? Does it forget its radio stations? you may not need to swap the wire.

Thanks Lummox,

I am very happy my CQC1300 fitted in just fine last night, without "remove the cable from the battery negative terminal". Although I receive no luck on pulling the MS402 out with just a credit card, I used a fork instead. Believe me, a cheap one finger fork work just fine! Then it was another pain to fit new H/U in, since it was too crowd at the back with all the wires and adaptors.

Haven't try the radio stations memory yet, but I will report back as soon as I done the test.

Turns out my Fabia & CQC1300 combination doesn't require swarpping red and yellow wires. Seem the Harness Adaptor is working somehow with out the swarpping.
