Boot opens from lever but not with remote...

Featured Replies

Driver's side lever works fine...but when I unlock with the remote, the rear latch doesn't open it. I read on another thread that if the engine's been on then the rear latch is deactivate to stop pikeys opening the boot in traffic....but I could've sworn the rear latch would work when unlocked from the remote....

What's supposed to be normal on the Fabia?

On my VrS, I have no lever, but boot opens with a press of the boot button on keyfob, or can be opened via the latch on bootlid if unlocked fully (double remote press). Single press / drivers door only unlocked keeps boot locked.

My colleagues one (basic model) only works from a lever at the side of the seat - no means to open from boot itself (I think).

I have to hold the fob button down for about 2 seconds

then it pops open. A quick press doesn't do it.

Safety feature maybe? :wonder:
