Octy VRS mk1

Featured Replies

Hi all after a lot of searching the web for what can and can't be done to upgrade the standard stereo in my 2002 Octy vrs the following has now been installed and sounds awesome. Alpine type r components for front doors,Alpine 13 cm coaxe type R in standard location in the rear, Alpine type R 10 inch 2 ohm sub in sealed box in the boot. The head unit is an Alpine Cde 9880r. Front components are driven by an Orion cobalt 600 w 2 channel amp and the Sub is driven by an Orion cobalt 800 w monoblock amp. The rear coaxe speakers are being driven by the head unit as they are only for rear fill. The front and rear speakers were installed in the standard locations and dropped straight in ! This has transformed the listening experience with crystal clear highs and tight punchy bass. Everything is hidden so as not to attract the wrong sort of attention and was installed by Pete at vehicle technology solutions in Sevenoaks Kent a genuine nice guy and his workmanship and attention to detail is amazing. Next stop Handling !
