Spare wheel

Featured Replies

Purely by accident rather than design (since my yeti came pre configured), I think I have got lucky in the tyre department.

The last time I had a puncture was years ago when the Estelle was the current Skoda model. Last night I was discussing with my wife the boot size in the yeti and explaining that ours has the optional spare which is why we have so little space. Then I had to tempt fate and say "but really, how often do you get a puncture?"

Of course this morning I got a flat. Five weeks old and something poked a hole right through the tyre. I took it round to my local tyre place on the way to work and they confirmed it is easily fixed. If I'd had the gunk it would have been a new tyre.

Since the car will be up on the ramp I've asked them just to put the winters on as they'll only charge me an extra tenner for doing it. Bargain, especially as the word "snow" was mentioned on every forecast I heard when I was in the car this morning.

Result! Erm I don't mean re the puncture, but having the wheels changed for you! Neat.

Yeah £22 for a puncture repair and tyre swap, not bad. And I saw white stuff on the weather map on the BBC at lunchtime, joy! Got the Caddy wheel caps on order from my Skoda dealer so fingers crossed all set for the winter.
