Once again I will start by apologising for my ignorance in all this engine modding, I'm wanting a remap as soon as poss and I know running standard parts won't do so I'm wondering....

What parts do you upgrade before a remap

Technically you don't need to upgrade anything. Most people change the dv and air fillter. I had my car mapped when it was completly standard ie dv, air filter,air box, exhaust. I have now fitted cat back exhaust but iam still running my standard dv and air filter and haven't had any issues :-).

A good service wouldn't go amiss too with some new plugs, oil, filters.

Thanks guys great advice, its just had a service so that's all done timing belt getting done in 2 weeks. Going to run the standard system then but upgrade the dv
