Okay, so my car is currently in bits in my firms workshop (not going down too well with the bosses) and was in process of replacing all bushes, drop links, and shocks and springs front and rear. All was going swimmingly till I fitted the first front shocker (Koni STR-T kit 1110-7051 bought from Awesome Gti) and realised there is nowhere on the shocker to mount the ARB drop links to.

I'm assuming I have been sold the wrong kit for a vRS Estate, despite assurances on the phone that this was the kit for my car.

Also, those damn bushes are too corroded into the bottom arms. Is there anywhere to get OEM arms without bushes, or are the Febi aftermarket items good enough?

In big trouble now since my car is getting in the way, and I suspect I'm going to have to throw all the knackered crap back in, since I need it for the weekend. :(

They've sent you normal shocks not vrs ones. Not sure about aftermarket arms, quite a few stories of them snapping on here

Thought as much. The front shocks are 8750-1002 instead of 8750-1063.

I'm going to kick some arse tomorrow. Not in the best of moods right now.

Don't think Koni do kits for the VRS, unless the estate has different suspension to the hatch. When I changed shocks and springs on mine Koni only did FSD's for the VRS.

I wouldn't no if they fit the estate, but the fitted my 2002 octy vrs wrc :-)

Fronts will be exactly the same, but the rears totally different.
