help with alpine headunit

Featured Replies

morning all,

apologies if this is common thread, but i couldn't find anything using google..

i've had an alpine head-unit in my fabia since day dot and i've always had problems with cabling and getting the unit to fit properly (normally sticks out no matter how hard i try to hide the cables). i eventually gave up and had a 'pro' refit it properly, which was great until i spotted the 2 cables he'd unplugged in the footwell (ISO adaptor and aerial booster), which means it 'forgets' everything (settings, stations e.t.c) each time i turn the ignition off.

is there anyway i can fit the stereo without needing the extra 2 leads and still have everything work?

thanks

matt

Take it back to the "pro" and get them to do the job properly, also ask them if they swaped the red and yellow power leads round as that can affect the memory.
