Hi guys

Not my first post, but my first since picking up my vRS yesterday. Having driven a petrol one two years ago, it has taken this long for the right opportunity to come up. After driving another demo recently I was going to look into a new CR model at the start of 2012, it drove really nicely and has great pull over a good rev range,

However a great second-hand petrol one dropped into my lap a couple of weeks ago, and I knew I just had to have it.

Mileage is pretty low, it is the combi body I wanted, and while black would in no way have been my first choice (had a hankering for a red one), nobody buys anything but diesels here in Ireland due to tax, and deep down I kind of wanted a petrol car. One of the big reasons is that the distance I drive every day was a concern in case I never got the DPF to regenerate properly. While I know this is a minority of cases, and I did ask a couple of the guys on the forum here about their CRs, I did not really want to have to worry about driving in a way specifically to suit the DPF. Petrol will be thirstier, but costs should not be too bad overall if I do not cane it, and it is a lovely torquey engine anyway so it is easy to cruise in.

Washing cars is not a problem for me, and I would say I will be doing it A LOT with black. Need to get some wax onto it sharpish before the grime settles in!

Anyway I am sure I will have lots of questions for you guys who are established Skoda veterans, so chat soon.

Cheers!
