Hi all, looking at placing an order soon for the Elegance 1.6 TDI Estate in Metallic Steel Grey - options include the Bluetooth/GSM III option and a steel wheel.

The car is available with the no vat deal and 0% finance over two years (50% deposit) - this deal suits me.

Problem has come in getting competitive comparisons due to the availability etc etc. One meeting with Arnold Clark ended with the statement if I had 5 out there to sell i'd do a deal but as I can't get any the my best is £17200.

The price I have on the table is £16800 (elsewhere) - £8400 down and 24 months @ £350.00.

Was going to push the guy a bit, but obviously have to be realistic. Also, any dealers out there that are known for 'doing a deal' would be useful!

Have you spoken to Stuart at west end garage in Uphall? I have always found him willing to do reasonable deals.
