Service Interval reset Issues

Featured Replies

I had my car serviced recently but the interval not reset (on fixed). As a result when i turned the small speedo button on the dash it said 45oo miles to next service. The dealer is 30miles away, but give me instructions over the phone to reset it.... which didn't work.

After a search on here i got the right procedure (p.s. my manual doesn't seem to have the procedure) of press button, turn on ignition, let go off button and turn, turn off ignition. this partly worked but now the display says 9400 miles to next service. i was expecting 10,000 miles :S

In addition to this with all my messing about i think i have lost the small kph reading and now the total mileage is displayed.

Any help appreciated. I don't have vagcom or similar and the display is not Maxidot.

9400 is correct for fixed service.

Interval is actually 15,000km which is 9,320 miles.

eccleshill, that's brilliant, i would never have thought of that. Always had the 10k miles service programmed into my head. :S
