Heater control not working

Featured Replies

For some time now the heater temperature control has not been all that great in my car.

I've had vagcom on it and had the motor flap re-calibrated several times.

Well now it's come to a point where it basically doesn't work. It's mostly stuck on full hot or full cold.

Sometimes the only way to make it work is to switch off the engine, and restart the car.

Does anyone know of the correct part number to fix this? I'm assuming it's the motor flap that needs replacing?

And is it a case of removing the passenger side transmission/footwell tunnel cover to get in behind the heater controls to replace this motor?

I have the same problem, I understand the temp motor flap is on the drivers side of the heater quite high up. from memory if you phone for the part to a skoda dealer it is the V68 motor which is around £70. Let me know how you get on

cheers

It is on the passenger side, remove the glovebox and you can get into it, might have to remove the top part of the centre console and the new flap will require calibration.
