Violent lurching

Featured Replies

Guys I've got an '07 vrs PD. When the engine is cold and I'm in traffic moving in either 1st or 2nd gear between 1200-1800rpm with a constant throttle position the car will start to lurch.

What I mean is that it looks like I'm a learner driver kangarooing the carv down the road. I don't intentionally do it and certainly do like looking like I can't drive.

Any ideas what this might be? Once the engine is warm it doesnt do it

Can't help on the cause but I can confirm your symptoms.

I too have a 2007 PD vRS, I also have a 2008 PD Scout and I have to say that the Scout is far easier to drive smoothly.

I've noticed that the vRS is a little more of a challenge when cold, I've only had it a few weeks so practice makes perfect but it doesn't like to be driven slowly / near tickover in second as much as the Scout.

Flywheel?

Again, can't help, but I have the same issue.
