Fault code after replacing MAF sensor

Featured Replies

I have a 2002 Superb 1.8T.

Recently I have experienced an intermittant Engine warning light on the dashboard and after checking the forum decided to invest in a VAG405 code reader.

The fault code displayed indictated a lean burn and subsequent checking on here reckoned that I needed a replacement MAF sensor which I purchased from eBay for £32 and have just fitted it and ran the car afterwards.

1. Initially the engine felt very lumpy which I expected as it takes time for the system to recognise the new MAF - Is this correct?

2. I then ran another check on the code reader which still displayed the same fault code - Is this correct?
