Intercooler Comparisions

Featured Replies

Hi all for my next car which was going to be a fabia vrs but now a Octavia vrs I will be looking to uprate the intercooler. In my last Octavia I had a forge twintercooler and found it be good but was always worried about the amount it obstructed the standard radiator. I have been looking at various options for replacing the standard unit. (I am not ruling out another twintercooler just merely looking at all the other options)

i was wondering what people opinions and experiances are with the following options:

  1. S3 intercooler
  2. forge
  3. THS
  4. Pro Alloy

Cheers Mike

I've heard great things of just an S3 intercooler and you can pick them up cheaper than the rest thats listed.

Ive had the forge twin cooler and thought it was very good when i logged intake temps, didnt really get any heat soak neither, Also had a THS at one point, Very good intercooler and workmanship was second to none but it was bl**dy heavy, cant comment on how it performed as i sold it to a chap who was desperate for one for his race preped golf.

i currently have an airtec intercooler in my current car and that works a treat. If they done one for the VAG group i would choose them again
