Bolero, Bluetooth, Fiscon and iPhone

Featured Replies

I have the above combination and I can't get the bluetooth audio to work. The phone all works as it should, I can see the phonebook, make and receive calls, bluetooth audio is enabled in the Bolero menu but it is greyed out on the main menu screen. Anyone got the above combination to work with streamed audio?

Cheers

Anyone help with this?

I suspect you have to do everything through the Fiscon unit and ignore the Bolero, but, as I don't have a Bolero or Fiscon, I could be wrong.

Thanks for the reply mate but I'm not sure I understand what you mean, I bought the car without bluetooth facility and had the fiscon unit fitted after. The bluetooth connection for the phone works perfectly, I can connect both my work HTC phone and my own iPhone and the phone features work perfectly on both. I have enabled bluetooth audio in the Bolero menu and a tab comes up on the screen in the media section, this tab is 'greyed out' and I can't choose it. Anyone got any ideas what to try or if this combination even works?

Thanks

Brian

Play some music on the phone then try the button on the bolero. Mine doesn't work until music is playing.

The Fiscon doesn't hook into the Bluetooth Audio on the Bolero. The Bluetooth option on the Bolero (and Columbus) is for the manufacturer's Bluetooth module...

Although the Fiscon supports Media streaming it appears as a phone call to the Bolero and the sound is disappointing as it doesn't use all the speakers etc.

I'd not bother with bluetooth streaming through the Fiscon unit although in all other respects I'm happy with having it fitted as when I bought my car the manufacturer bluetooth wasn't suitable for my requirements. If I was buying the car today, it'd be the VW/Skoda bluetooth all the way

Thanks for that mate, I don't need the option really but it was bugging me that I couldn't get it to work, the fiscon works fine for phone calls, strange it's not supported for Bluetooth audio
