Octavia FL Bluetooth

Featured Replies

Hi all. Spent most of the day yesterday installing one of these kits My link to my 2011 FL Octavia with RNS510. When pressing the 'phone' button on the unit, all i get is 'no user connected' with the option of pressing the SOS button. I can’t seem to find a way to make it connect to the phone - there is no option. Is this usual, and down to the fact I haven’t ran the change through VCDS yet? (off to look on the list for someone loal to make changes for me)

Yes the coding needs to be tweaked with VCDS before it will work :thumbup:

19 - CAN gateway

Coding - 07

Byte 5 Bit 2

Tick the 77 - Telephone box.

Then reboot the RNS510 (turn radio on and press the <, > & top right button button AT THE SAME TIME, keep them pressed for about 10 seconds, until the screen goes blank and the unit re-boots)

Then connect your phone :thumbup:

Hi Gizmo, thanks for your reply. Got car plugged into VCDS yesterday (thanks Keith), however byte 5 bit 2 did not exist in coding section 19. Also couldnt find reference to telephone acivation elsewhere. See images below;

Section 19 states - only limited coding information available for this module. We have sent an email to Ross-tech and await reply, anyone came across this before and what to do next?

Its also interesting that in section 19 the part number shows up as 7N0 907 530C, and in telephone section 77 shows up as 3C8 035 730 B (this being the correct number as stated on device, or is the 7N0 number just the chip inside the 3C8?

Thanks

Chris
