MOT testers tuned in my ICE!?

Featured Replies

Not that I'm complaining.

Just to say, I left my car in a bit of a state when I dropped it off for its MOT. rear seats were out the back, and down in the footwells, to allow access to the twiddly bits on my amps.

When I went to pick it up again, I noticed the seats were back, and when the music kicked in, the subs were off. I thought to myself, "the f***ers have been tampering with my audio!" Was about to complain and thought I'd flick through the audio functions on the HU and sure enough they'd just turned the subs to OFF. So, I flicked it back to ON again, and off I went.

As the day progressed I realised some of my tunes were sounding a little better than they had before, so had an even closer look through the audio settings. Turns out they'd tweaked my "loud" setting to "low" and set some filter settings too. And my my it sounds a little better now. :speaker: I'm still not happy 100% with it as people tomorrow at WSM might be able to tell but its a little less harsh on the old eardrums now. Was getting an awful virbratey bass when loud bass guitar played, which dominated the sound scale. :( :thumbdwn:

Now thats almost gone. Thanks MOT testers! I'll be bringing my car back to you next year too!:rofl:

never had people 'play' with my audio like that, have had comments on it along the lines of, thats quite a nice stereo you've got. how much was it? a couple hundred quid. didn't tell em as they wouldn't believe me i suspect

i never leave my face palate in the car...when dropping it off for things like that after i picked it up from some where once and all my fuses were blown
