Octavia VRS PD injection failure

Featured Replies

Talk about a bad week...............Traded in my 03 Octy VRS petrol estate for a nice shiney blue 07 VRS TDI estate last Saturday.......127 miles down the road (not even home from the car dealer) and the clutch master cylinder went, pedal to the floor and not a happy chappy, phoned the garage (2hrs up the road) "bring it back and we'll fix it" ......really, 4hr round trip and 3 hrs while they fix it !!!, so he's sending new master cylinder for me to fit this weekend.......OK not good but do-able.

This morning started OK, drop my daughter to school and set off to work (40mile trip) all good until I got 5 miles from work on the car died .........towed to garage and told "number 1 injector failure with possible loom failure" 5 days and a £1,500 bill pending..........to say I was "not amussed" was a major understatement.

Thanks to this site and a bit of research I got the number for Skoda UK customer care, within 1hr it was booked into local Skoda dealer for new injectors and new loom.

I have to say the Skoda UK guys and girls did me prode, still a few issues to sort out but hopefully by the morning it will be being fixed ready for me to pick up in the afternoon.

Will update tomorrow when I get the car back.

I had the same problem with my No four injector !!!!! 2007 VRS 71,000 miles. Please could you give me the information that you used to contact Skoda customer services and get the work done to replace the complete set. At the moment ive only had the Loom and the single injector replaced and would love to be able to get skoda to replace the full set, if it is a known probem with this engine. Many thanks

The number Skoda UK customer service is 0845 7744745, the man that is dealing with all the injector claims is called Dan Latta.

My theory is that if one injector can fail then they all can, with my wife also driving the car I'm not sure she would know what to do if the engine failed at 80mph in the third lane of the motorway, so I would consider this a potentially dangerous car.

Maybe it wouldn't hurt to mention contacting VOSA ;-)

I'm sure you caught the number 8 key instead of the 7 lol.

My car very occassionally stalls itself on downshift at low speed. Wonder if it could be related, no harm in getting some new injectors FOC I suppose.
