Superb xenon headlights fault

Featured Replies

I have a 55 plate superb elegance with xenon lights. On occasions, when I turn the lights on, the offside one doesn't work. I sometimes have to turn them on and off a few times before they both work. It's not a problem if there is something in front so I can see the reflection and know if they are working.

Any ideas what the fault may be? The bulbs are obviously ok.

Thanks in advance.

Could be the lamp or the igniter pack. Try swapping the lamp to the other side,if the fault moves to the other side you need new lamps. If it he fault stays on the same side you have a ballast/ igniter fault.

Ballast problem or intermittant connection to the Head Lamp problem, have you checked the main Head Lamp connector?

Yes It seems ok.

hi i had the excat same problem as was told the problem was the ballast or the igniter

so i bought 2 cheap HID bulbs from ebay infact i have a full set here as i bought 2 sets

and this fixed my problem my lights have worked since

check my other posts and you will see the problems i had and i couldnt belive it that changing both bulbs fixed it

not saying this is your same problem but as an ignitor costs over £100 and the same for the ballasts then £20 off ebay was worth a shot
