air con rad removal

Featured Replies

i need to replace the rad ( 3rd time 2new ones have developed leaks -why?). As the air con. is kaput I might as well remove rad for that as well it might make the job easier in the future :wonder: Any ideas why I keep getting leaking rads could it be extra pressure build up somehow or is it the quality of the rad which is coming from a factor. I must admit weight wise it feels like they are made out of egg boxes.

thanks

Where are you getting your eggbox rads from? Does the supplier keep changing then FOC for you or do you have to keep buying replacement ones?

Get a proper rad from TPS or the dealers. I had a rad for my old cavalier from a factors, and it leaked the first time there was pressure in it.

The rads are coming from TMS & they replace them without too many problems as though it is a regular occurence. I will try TPS it sounds very similar to TMS, just tried them, quoted more than Skoda & that was with a discount

Tanks for your replies

TPS After quoting, including discount, price was still more than dealers :dull:

I guess dealers get a better discount price from TPS due to large orders, rather than the discount you get.
