peculiar goings on with my washer jets!

Featured Replies

Wonder if anyone can provide some light on the issue i am experiencing with my washer jets. When i wash the front scree, the water also trickles from the rear washer? Ive flushed the system with warm fresh water just in case but to no avail? Is there a fix i can do myself or does the dealer need to see the car?

As far as I am aware the same pump feeds both the front and rear washers. Depending on which way you push or pull the stalk determines which way the pump turns.

If the rear is leaking as the front is spraying then perhaps there is a faulty/leaky seal in the pump. The pressure required to feed the front screen is pushing past the seal and feeding the rear screen slightly at the same time?

Faulty valve in the pump, would need a new pump.
