Which Break disk and pads

Featured Replies

Hi all,

This is my first post on this forum, but I have been following it for over a few months. Few days ago I drove my 2007 Octavia to do a regular service, but guys that work in the shop suggested me that I should change my front brake disks and pads as well as my rear brake pads. These are the original brake disks and pads with which I have covered 83600 kilometres. I am little confused as to why I need to change front brake disks because they look pretty ok.

Never the less what I am wondering now is, if I really need to change front disks and pads can I purchase front disks and pads from 2.0 TDi Octavia (I believe that these are little bigger)? Can they be mounted to my 1.9 Tdi Octavia without any big modifications?

No you can not, you can if you get the calipers as well and you might also need to change your wheel size so they clear the calipers
