Brembo 4 pot Porsche brake upgrade

What’s included?

· Porsche 996 911 C4 rear 4 piston (pot) callipers part numbers 996.352.421 and 422 – made by brembo, monoblock, aluminium alloy, piston sizes leading 28mm, trailing 30mm - Painted with black hammerrite could do with repainting before fitting if more for looks i wouldn’t say i was scene so wasn’t bothered about having Porsche slapped over them ;) i preferred them for the better braking

· Custom calliper carriers and fixing bolts

· HEL braided brake lines 2 used and fitted and 1 spare – never been fitted

· Feredo DS2500 pads, less than half worn, would like to say nearly new but they did cover somewhere around 10k – fantastic pads highly recommended, still fitted to the callipers

Mintex M1144 pads – only used for less than 2000miles due to squeal as couldn’t get any heat into them within town, an option if your fancy tracks days.

Looking for around £270 posted, remember that this will directly bolt onto the mk1 Octi vrs. and i think it may also fit the Mk2 Fabia vrs but you will need to confirm this yourself - this was going by a post id read about fitting the 312mm brakes from the mk1 octi.

took me less than 2 hours to remove and refit the standard callipers and bleed through.

already boxed and ready to go after a ebay sale fell through

do require 17" wheels for a decent clearance, would probably fit some 16" with spacers although it will be tight against the rim

UK Buyers only

Please note callipers were given a quick wash before the pictures were taken so still slightly wet

Hel Hose fitted and showing adaptors

cheers mate

Will theses fit the mk1 fabia vrs

  • Author

dont think they will mate, unless the hub carriers are the same as the octi. think the mk1 shares the carriers with the polo so probably not

shouldnt the bigger piston be leading?

Did you have the ballance pipe swapped over? dont you need to do that on the porsche callipers?

You might find if you did that they would be even better. My LCR brembos are bigger piston leading.

GLWS

good price too

I followed the advise from DaveB ( think he could be a member on here ) that the smaller one should lead so it catches the disc 1st, hense gives the feel

no the pipes werent swapped over as they were the right way round on these callipers, going with the smallest leading. i think it was the boxster callipers - same part numbers - that needed swapped as they were trailing on the disc rather than leading.

thought the cheaper price would help shift them as they are sitting boxed up ready to go as no use to me now.

got a set of s3s to fit to the new car
