Where can i get alloys for my wifes Fabia TDI ?

Featured Replies

Ok, i have just bought a really great set of alloys and part worn winter tyres for my BMW compact but can not find any suitable alloys for my wifes 2006 Fabia TDI ??? If i can't buy genuine Skoda then just what other manufactures 15 or 16 inch alloys can i look for outside of the Skoda network ? Do they have stud sizes etc, should i be looking at Audi alloys ?? I want them so i can get some winter tyres for her car.

You need to be looking for 5x100 pcd.

Mk4 golf's, older Audi's etc.

there are a few sets of genuine VRS wheels in the classified's here mate

They do look nice but i only really want alloys, if i pay for alloys with tyres then i will just be wasting my money as i will be taking the tyres off to replace them with winter tyres, so alloys alone makes more sense.

you could then put these tyres back on come nicer months and not have to keep changing wheels then?

do you have alloys at the moment or just steel wheels?

for winter set I would choose 15" and narrow winter tyres

u can use wheels from:

audi TT mk1

audi S3 mk1

Seat Leon mk1

Skoda Octavia mk1

VW Golf mk4

try to google wheel size fittment guide and there is specific website showing you all wheels fittments

I good nice set for sale after New Year, but they 17" so too big for winter wheels,

195/50 R15 is a good size to have on 15s. :) Maybe worth considering a narrower/higher profile size if it exists, like maybe 185/55 R15?

Strange ,my 2004 TDi has alloys fitted( 14 inch wheels) .As it was a courtesy car I can't see the firm upping the spec, but looking at the codes in the boot ,I can't see any mention of them being a factory fit .

Elegance trim level only. :)

also smaller size cheaper price :)

A quick word of warning though, if you do put something like the fabia vrs alloys on your fuel economy will decrease.... the wheels are a lot heavier than the normal steel ones and obviously have wider tyres too. My mpg's have gone down about 10 average. Not good.
