Another dashboard noise

Featured Replies

Anyone have an idea what the fluttering / tapping noise might be (comes from behind the dash) when the car is started - it sounds like something to do with the vents but it's always a bit random. Seems to disappear once it has warmed up but just a bit weird. No warning lights appear (thankfully) but just curious if it's one of those 'features'.

Also - anyone had a 6month oil change? Does it mean the service light will come on and need to be reset by a Skoda dealer? I was thinking of getting my local, and very competent, independent to do one (maybe with an engine flush additive that I've put in other cars); curious if it'll then mean an expensive trip to a main dealer to reset the dashboard lights!!

Hi I have had that tapping noise also I pin pointed it to the evap line that runs from the fuel tank up the chassis leg, into the engine bay and into the evap cannister. To stop the noise just unclip the hose from the holder (Top left of engine bay) rattle it around abit then clip it back in that will do the trick.

Also your local garage should be able to reset the indicator if not its easy enough to do yourself on the clocks.
