Yeti winter check

Featured Replies

Just got an email from Motorline skoda offering me a winter health check for £9.99, seems pretty good value, i've had health checks done on vehicles before, but usually before long foreign trips. But this offer seems to good to miss out on! Is this kind of offer usually combined with finding a problem, or maybe to try and flog winter tyres or snow socks, i've emailed saying i'm interested.

What's included...

> Vehicle health check with a full print out report

> Fluid checks and top-ups, specifically coolant and windscreen wash

> Battery check and a full print out report

> Tyre inspection

> Wiper blade inspection

> Free take away tin of de-icer and an ice scraper*

Its just a simple check you can do yourself surely beside the battery. So in effect you are paying for a bit of de-icer and a scraper....

I've just had a free winter health check at Rivervale Cars http://rivervalecars.com/skoda/

A small oil top up and a recall on the headlight/fog light switch. The switch came away in the mans hand, so you might want to check your also.

The switch is booked in for the 28th as a warranty repair, so no cost for me emoticon-0110-tongueout.gif

They phoned me in response to my email enquiry and have a technician whose sole job for the next few weeks is health checks, so can fit me in at an hour and a half notice usually, i also asked about screen wash and how much bottles of the VW stuff were and the reply was that they would ensure one was left in the car as a compliment when i had the check done, sounds pretty good to me, now just have to figure when to brave the Canterbury traffic!

Well seems better value than what BMW offered me for my MINI this week, winter check for £39.95 and only another £37 to top up the oil which was just under the full mark on the dipstick! I settled for the MOT and brake fluid change only

Roll on March 2012 when the abominable Skoda arrives.
