remote locking

Featured Replies

I used to have a polo (6r) and when anyone else with a vw key held a button on the remote locking it prevented any other vw key from working remotely.......anyone know if this is the case with skodas aswell? Tried it with my dads tiguan key and it worked fine but not so sure about two skoda keys

I think I does work the same with skoda keys too. Me ( 2011 Roomster) and my friend (2009 Superb) were about to unlock our cars and we pressed our key buttons simultaneously (accidentally of course) then Superb unlocked itself while Roomster didn't. So I had to press again my key fob to unlock mine.

If they use the same frequency then can be jammed by the other fob.

It would be like two radio stations broadcasting on the same frequency. Granted they probably use a difference encoding system but the general principle is the same.
