BOSE Car Audio Speakers

Featured Replies

Any got bose car speakers in their car?

Don't know if anyone has been to the Ideal Home Show at Earls Court, London, but I looked at their display and tested their speakers out and they were absolutely diabolical. They created 5.1 surround sound with only 2 speakers and a base sub unit. Apparently they use wall's etc to deflect the sound to create the illusion. This is how the car speakers are supposed to work.

I couldn't find any other bose car audio pictures but this is what they look like.

I don't think they are out in the uk yet, but they are out in places like Japan, etc.

I checked out their site (bose.com) and they only fit their audio units in certain cars. Here's the list of cars:

Acura

Alfa Romeo

Audi

Ferrari

GMC

Honda

Hummer

Mazda

Mercedes-Benz

Nissan

Porsche

No Skoda  I suppose the system does come with a hefty price tag, but it is far better quality than most ICE you see around.

looks liek a load of la la to me...

My mate has BOSE in his A3 2.0TDI Sport and it does sound really good. Supposedly customized to the car. Plenty of bass too! But for

bose are supposed to be the dogs danglies,

bose only install into approved cars as they design the sound system for the enclosure. All Bose products are the muts jacobs....... I have the wave radio CD and my friend has the lifestyle home system very good

Don't know who the speaker manufacturer is but apparently there was a premium speaker upgrade for the Octavia RS?

Never heard of it before, not sure if anyone can shed any light on it?

But, this guy (Toby-very friendly and helpful), is breaking an RS with such speakers if your interested '[email protected]'

Personally, I think the results they achieve from very small systems are quite astounding...however, compared with comparitively-priced "normal" sized systems, they aren't that great...

Rob.

Iv got (has) a Bose sound system in my Honda Accord.

I think it wasa fraily expensive dealer fit extra, comes with the Bose Radio, 6CD Changer, about 6 speakers, and a sub mounted in one of the panels in the boot. Its not the loudest of stereo's and looks pretty plane but its sound great what ever volume you have it at.

All that is going now and i'm counting down the days to getting my Fabis VRS

Agreed.

You can get a lot better for the money (in terms of home cinema) speakers maybe slightly larger than the bose though.

I've heard the bose speakers however in the Alfa Romeo and Landrover Vogue and tbh they did sound really really good, I was quite impressed.

I doubt the speakers in your pictures are the actuall ones, they look rather dated to me and the ones in the Landrover didnt have their own enclosure like that. Plus I've seen the ones in the Landrover and they look nothing like them.

I would see if you could have a listen to them and then make your mind up :)

You want to have a listen to the Harman Kardon 7.1 system in the Range Rover now that's what i call a really first class system. 14 speakers, makes it sound just like a cinema when watching a film. Comparing it to my Dad's BOse system in his A3 I personally think it's better.

But then i am bias working for landie
