Ok, I haven't posted much for a few months, haven't been keeping up-to-date, what's the latest on the availability, pricing etc for the new Octy vRS ? I'm thinking about changing my car soon and I'll just get the old model again if the new one is going to take too long or be too expensive.

Incidentally a dealer tells me that whilst you can still order the Octy vRS hatch, the estate has been discontinued - although it's still showing up on the Skoda website ?

And finally, anyone live near Linlithgow and own an old shape Octy estate - I want to see if it fits in my garage ! I know it's only about 20mm longer than the hatch, it's more the angle of the roof/back window and clearance for the garage door closing that I'm worried about.

I have ordered an Octy vRS estate for my next company car. Not sure which dealers the lease company work with. I put the request in a couple of weeks ago and haven't heard of any problems yet. But I'm worried now!

I'm not due to change until end May, so don't know whether they have tried to order yet.

The dealer said they are usually available from stock, although I have asked for cruise, parking sensors, heated seats and airbag immobiliser switch. Will this make it a factory order - if they are still doing them. Or will I just get offered whatever is closest to what I want thats in stock.

Anyone insider info on this wud be most welcome.

The "Daily Record" motoring pages on Friday were lamenting the end of the current Octy vRS and basically saying it was highly under-rated, time to get one if you can still find one. They said that whilst there were still a few estates unregistered at dealers the hatch was long gone. Obviously somebody is wrong here !

Just been reading autocar mag 22 03 05, in their list of "whats coming when" they have the vrs mk2 down for late 05.

Nice to see it printed somewhere, cant wait
