I'm looking to lower my FL Vrs and am inclined towards a Weitec GT Ultra kit. I'm in Gloucester and am struggling to find someone I trust to fit it. The only place I can find is Turner Race Developments in Stroud but they want £650 all in to supply and fit which seems a bit steep to me.

Is this a fair price? Any alternative suggestions for fitting in

I must admit that I don't know exactly, I believe it's roughly £450 for the kit and £200 fitting which they say will take the best part of a day.

Just looked it up: DPM list that kit at £476 so I'd say £650 fitted is a pretty good deal.

Does that include an alignment check?

I hope for your sake it's not a coilover kit cos it'll shake your fillings out!! I put a weitec one on my g60 and hated it!! Awesome if you want a track car, but just could not get it comfortably soft in the slightest.

In the end went for Koni fully adjustable dampers on the original G60 springs and would choose Koni every time now as it was the best suspension i've ever had.

You're right, that's more than I thought although Damian recently gave a price of £403.85 in the DPM sponsor section which made me wonder. £250 for fitting seems a fair bit on top of that.

Thanks everyone, I am checking on the wheel alignment. It's not a coil over kit, just springs and dampers, shouldn't be too extreme.

I have heard lots of good things about trd. I planned to have some springs fitted there in november, but something came up (needed new dpf etc...) so I had to cancel. I plan to go back there in the new year for new suspension (either coils or shocks and springs) and a dpf delete and remap.

The price sounds good to, go for it!

Best part of a day? Should be no more than half a day at absolute max and that includes 4wa.

Might be a bit too far but Midland VW have a good rep...based in Cannock, a lot swear by them.

I just added OEM (Eibach) springs and am very pleased...fitted by HLM Tuning in Bromsgrove.

Just to give you an idea I believe Midland VW quote about two hours fitting time for springs only; £175 including four wheel alignment.
