What Clutch?

Featured Replies

I have a 2004 Fabia vRS that is slowly increasing in performance!

Can anyone recommend a decent clutch? I doubt I will go past the 200bhp mark, so something that's capable of that kind of power.

Ideally a performance clutch would be nice, but I don't want to spend more than £200. Any suggestions?

....or is the OEM absolutely fine? :)

Thanks in advance!

Would £200 even buy an oem one?

(this is not a dig, but a serious question)

I thought a better clutch was about £600 ish

eBay is full of sub £200 clutches, so I thought an oem can't be much more? Either way would an oem one handle 200bhp comfortably?

I have a sachs organic clutch fitted by jabba sport and cost me around £700 fitted (a few years ago). Don't waste your money on a £200 clutch.

I never knew clutches could be so expensive! :p

OEM Sachs or LUK clutch plate is about £300 with VAT, add another £300 to that for the DMF.

What is DMF?

Dual Mass Flywheel. They wear out and depending on mileage it may be worth changing it while it's apart or so the recommendation is on here. Might have to do my clutch soon and I'll make the choice then as to whether I change the DMF as well.

You`ll be ok with a smooth map at 200bhp on a standard clutch. Ross on here is running that set up and abuses it well from what I can read. :giggle:
