vRS Drivers seat, replacement foam & Fitting

Featured Replies

Hi People, Hope your all well.

I picked up my new seat base for my 2001 vRS on saturaday from Skoda Liverpool at the cost of £55.00 with discount. After looking through previous threads on this forum about DIY replacement of the seat base, I decided its not for me and I would seek someone to do it. I contacted a local company on the Wirral called Total Tinting & 360 Motorsport(Bromborough) who did this swiftly this afternoon at a cost of £35.00. Bargain I thought £90.00 for the seat base and fitting. Really good lads, really helpful and well in their VAG Motors if your local and are like me not very capable at DIY give them a call.

I am going back on Friday so they can do the arch mod, got myself an Audi TT vent and I think fitting will be similar cost.

Thats a decent price to sort. The arch mod is really easy - have a go yourself and feel good knowing a. you did it yourself and b. you saved some cash.

Thanks I was well happy with the price, to be honest I am under Walton Neurological over your way (going again on Friday more scans)for an ongoing back condition the reason I had to leave work and am now sitting at home bored out of my brains  . I would love to do it myself I miss doing little jobs on motors, when i was younger I used to be well into my motors and playing around with them. But these days there is no chance of me getting down on the floor and removing the wheel etc getting my back cold. It really would not be worth the personal pain I would endure afterwards. :(

Ah, that's not good, sorry to hear that.

Any other mods planned in the future?

Don`t worry about it, I don`t anymore been through that stage!! it is kack though.

I need to get some front brakes soon, I know you said don`t but I just love the look of the drilled & Grooved Discs. I have been speaking to a place on Ebay who deals in brakes http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290588137137?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_2007wt_1110 I just really like the look and I have always wanted some from when I was a teenager lol. The car has some bits and bobs already done to it by the previous owner engine wise. I have changed the areal (all by myself) :D had the rear windows tinted not limo black!! and have bought some DRL`s that my mate is going to help fit this weekend. Once I am done with these little things I will get some pics together and post them along with list of actual things that have been done to the car over its years. Do you live in Liverpool?

I do, not far at all from Dunningsbridge Road. Remap is good if you dont already have one.

Yep got one of them apparently also K&N Panel Filter, Forge DV 007p?, and a receipt saying something about when the water pump was changed they changed something else to metal impellers. Although TBH I don`t really understand that bit, the guy I was chatting to today at Total Tint said the the vent in the arch is a good idea! did you notice a difference anywhere in the performance? I kind of know where you are maybe one day we will pass each other, I live in Bromborough. What did you think of them Discs on ebay?

Of course not. I just used a 3/4 inch drill bit on mine about 20 times, Not sure on the disks, could be good, could be bad. Not sure on quality.
