Low tyre tread?

Featured Replies

So brought my fabia used bout 3 weeks ago..... al ready had a ding in it

but took it to my local garage as it was pulling to the left. (which skoda already new about)

but the front tyres are 2 mm max and the rears are 5mm max.

I phoned them up straight away and they said the tyres are always checked be for selling on and they have to be at leased 3mm above the legal limit.

So will they change them do i have the right as there not covered under "warranty"?

Did you not check the tyres?

I would have thought you would have a hard time proving they were below 3mm when you bought it.

I did it when my dad bought his Golf, mentioned the tyres looked low and they put 2 new Bridgestone RE050's on it prior to picking up!
