xeon headlights have stopped self leveling

Featured Replies

My warning light on the dash is telling me i have a bulb out yet all my lights are working although my self leveling function had stopped working

any idea's how to fix this or why its stopped ?

They can only be adjusted at the dealer with VAG COM. Obviously if someone here has it, they may save you the cost. You can check any fault codes as well.

No the self adjusting has stopped working they no long move when I turn my lights on

I know there is 2 level sensors one front one rear if these sensors fail would the lights stop adjusting ?

had the same problem with my superb elegance, had 2 faults (some sensors)on vag, once deleted everything is fine. try to do your computer scan first and see what it says (yes they wont work then)

You can also perform a quick and easy check to make sure the rod connecting the suspension (I think Anti roll bar) at the front links up with the regulator. From memory it is on the nearside. Might have to take the wheel off to check, alternatively put on your worst clothes and crawl under

Ok the rod is working or connected anyway

I have also noticed my headlight washer isn't working either unsure if they are related

I have had this twice, and each time it was a load sensor (first rear then front).

If your sensors have not failed, it could be that one of them has been knocked by something meaning the signal is out of the acceptable range. If you have access to vag com, it will tell you the permitted range and also the output of the sensor. If the output is outside the tolerance, you may be able to reposition the offending sensor.

For info, if a sensor has died, I believe they are around £60ish +vat and there are two of them.

BUT WOULD THESE SENSORS REALLY STOP THEY MOVING UP AND DOWN WHEN THE LIGHTS ARE TURNED ON ? AND STOP THE WASHER ON THE LIGHTS FROM WORKING ?

No need to shout, we are trying to help you. :wonder:

If the sensors fail, the lights will not self level and you will get the bulb failure warning. I don't know about the washers... I can't see why they would be connected. Have you checked the fuse for the headlight washer motor?

replaced the headlight washer motor thats the washers fixed but still the lights wont self level

no faults showing on diagnostics fault finder have left it with a good autospark and still he cant fix it either

now he is trying to get a wiring diagram of the headlights :(

Did you check the measuring blocks for the sensors, to see if they are giving a viable signal? I'm not sure if you would get a fault code if they were wrong.

AUTO SPARK THINKS IT COULD BE xENON RANGE CONTROL MODULE ( PART 4z7907357 ) but at over £200 for the part its expensive way to find out if its not

i am at a lost here but to buy this part and try and cant think of anything else
