service light

does any1 knowe how to turn sevice light off

Time and distance can be reset by you in the mfd (multi function display). I think if you are variable service this has to be done by the dealer with VCDS (computer). if you are on variable service and you reset it yourself through the MFD you will put the car back onto time and distance servicing.

I hope this makes sense. It a conversation I recently had with my dealer when I went from variable to time and distance servicing.

Dealers do not use VCDS, but yes you either need a member with VCDS or a dealer to reset the variable service indicator.

my car is a taxi its out of warrenty so i do it myself as i am a mechanic car gets serviced every 9000 mls its a 1.9 tdi so i was just wondering if any body had done theres there self car has always went to skoda dealers this is first time its been done by my self .

I'm sure I've seen it in the MFD. go to settings, service indicator, and reset. It's along those lines.

The 1.9tdi engine is a dream. My wife has it in her fabia. How many mile have you done? Don't blame you for servicing yoursen, the dealer only drops the oil out, changes the oil filter then charges you a fee plus tells you what they think they can charge you for going forward!!

I would do the same if I were you. Good luck.?

Brakes and air filter are the only other thing with a brake fluid change every 24 months.
