Going from fixed to variable servicing?

Featured Replies

I hate repetition of questions in this place, and am sure i've seen this asked before but i can't for the life of me remember the answer nor find it via. search

Question relates to a used mk2. Skoda Octavia vRS Diesel (2011)

Can the service interval be changed from Fixed to Variable? I know you can go the other way around but I always (incorrectly?) thought that once you'd gone to Fixed, you couldn't go back.

Thanks in advance guys :)

Requires VCDS to program the car for it but yes as both fixed and variable use the same oil you can go from fixed to variable.

Dealer did it on my Scout after accidentally switching it to fixed.:dull:
