Fabia DSG lead time?

Featured Replies

Hello Fabia folk,

Can any of you guys confirm whether the current lead time for a new Fabia DSG (not the vRS model) is really 6/7 months as my local dealer has told me?

Looks like a shortage of gearboxes then.

Looks like a shortage of gearboxes then.

When we bought my wife's a year ago we had that sort of wait. Apparently there is a single DSG box manufacturer servicing the whole VAG group! Worth the wait though.

Also the low-rate finance (which includes 3-years servicing) has been withdrawn from the DSG models.

There only making DSG cars to sold order and not for stock as the shortage is that bad my dads work ordered two tiguans with the boxes in september and one hasnt even got a build week yet its that bad

Lead times for the DSG (Fabia, Roomster and Yeti) are 6 - 7 months as your dealership quoted.

Regarding the 3 years free servicing that was mentioned, IF the vehicle was ordered before close of business on 31st and the finance approved, then this will be upheld by VWFS, if a better deal comes along in the meantime you have the option to switch between the 2.

Sadly for the dealerships again it looks like another year of quoting customers big lead times with nothing available from stock.

But definately worth the wait.

I was lucky ordered my Monte beginning October received beginning of December.

I was told by Hobins Salford that DSG wasn't available on the Monte Carlo?
