Stalling Issue

Featured Replies

I have just bought a new Skoda Superb Elegance 118TSI and am in the process of running it in.

It has less than 150Km on the clock.

I have had 2 incidences of the engine stalling, both times in fairly low rev's.

First time, it happened as I drove home from the dealership when I was stopped at traffic lights.

It happened again the next day as I was executing a slow U-Turn. :o

Is this cause for concern or is it something that will settle down?  ???

How do you think I should address this problem?

I plan to raise it with the dealership on my first revisit to have a couple of things 'tweeked'.

Thanks.

You just bought it, ask the dealer to fix it. Still under warranty...

Hi Mate,

I had the same issue. Skoda have released a "service campaign" to overcome the stalling.

They re-map the engine to overcome an unstable air/fuel ratio that happens mostly above 30 degrees C ambient conditions. My problem was very intermittent and my VCDS reader could not find any fault codes.

If you want the number of the service campaign I will get it for you....

Cheers

Ian

Update: Recall/service campaign number is 24V7
