Our fabia failed it's m.o.t. yesterday on rear wishbone suspension bushes. Is this a common problem? The car has only done 30,000 miles. We did notice a knocking from the boot area but I just thought it was something rattling in the boot. The total bill was £120 for the m.o.t., rear bush replacement and full service although I supplied the service items. Pretty cheap I thought.

Yes the price you paid is very very good indeed. It is not a common problem to have the rear suspension bushes go early like that.

I've been having a knocking noise from the rear sounds like the spare is loose but it's rock tight, could it be bushes if yes how easy do it yourself ?
