Rear wiper on the combi

Featured Replies

Just a quick question while my estate in the Skoda garage.....

When I wash the rear window I get a single squirt in the centre on the rear window, it's never really cleaned it much.

But I have an Octavia for the week and the rear washer sprays in a fan shape and does a great job of covering the rear.

So is my Superb washer working right? It seems like the Octavia has a better designed one if it is.

Hi Harry

I can confirm that I also get just a straight jet from the rear windscreen washer on my estate.

So that is either standard or mine is incorrect as well. I suspect the former.

The rear wash/wipe on my Combi does exactly the same as yours. I suspect the jet nozzle may be closer to the rear window than on the Octy, hence, the spray has less opportunity to deposit fluid in a fan.

That said, I find a couple of squirts usually ensures thorough cleaning. I like the fact that the wiper arm self parks after the standard number of strokes.

In addition, I find that a full washer bottle lasts a long time, certainly longer than my previous Superb which was equipped with optional headlight washers as well as a larger fluid reservoir.

The Octavias been ok, but this is the first thing I've seen on it that I felt was missing from the Superb.

Thanks guys

It is a single jet, works ok for me.
